Christmas In June, What Are You Mad?

Preparing for Christmas in the summer seems mad, especially when the sun’s out. BBQ’s and beer gardens are usually the only thing on people’s minds, not Christmas! The scary fact is that once we hit the hopefully hot month of June Christmas is only six months away which is really not long.

Recently it has hit the headlines that although June is the warmest time of the year, is the best time to start preparing for that blistery cold season. Often by the time that Christmas comes around it’s far too busy and late to prepare. We believe at UKCW that the hardest part is figuring out the presents, making lists of who you need to buy for, and how much you want to spend, then carrying that list around with you when shopping. So maybe starting the preparation in June is the best way, you can take advantage of the summer sales and reduce the stress that comes when shopping in December.  Also we love the fact that you could pick up a bargain.

Planning and shopping for Christmas in the summer months seems a little early but even super stores such as Harrods and Selfridges are opening their Christmas areas next month. Just make sure you don’t forget where you’ve stored all the presents and decorations you’ve bought! Starting the preparation now means you will be surprised by what you will have accumulated and ticked off your list by the time November comes around.

Keep the kids busy and get creative by starting to make homemade Christmas presents and crafty projects in advance. The best thing about Christmas is spending time with your loved ones so starting preparations early means even more quality time with the family!
