Christmas Memories
As we move into February, the jolly times of Christmas are becoming more of a distant memory! Christmas is our favourite time of year and we don’t want to let go of the festivities 2016 brought just yet. In this blog we want to re-visit some of our favourite things about the Christmas season, and what we enjoyed most from the holidays this year.

Christmas Decorations
Who doesn’t love putting up the tree and hanging decorations and lights all around the house?!
This is one of the very things that puts us in the festive spirit at the beginning of December, which is probably the reason why we hate taking them down so much in the New Year!
We all have our favourite style of Christmas decorations, so whatever your theme, we’re sure these are one of the factors that help us to make your Christmas so special! Things like gathering the family round the tree on Christmas morning and pulling up to your house to the welcoming twinkling of lights, fill us with that cosy festive feeling even now!

Christmas Food
We all tend to over indulge at Christmas time, but would if really be the same without all that yummy festive food?
We don’t think so!
Of course there’s always the big Christmas dinner to look forward to, complete with all the trimmings (and leftovers the day after), but we love just as much the naughty-but-nice snacks, drinks and confectionary that goes along with the Christmas season! I think we can all admit we let our hair down a bit when it comes to eating at Christmas time!
This is just one of the reasons we ‘wish it could be Christmas everyday’!

When the weather is chilly outside there’s nothing lovelier than snuggling up with loved ones to watch a good old Christmas movie! An activity bound to get anyone in the Christmas spirit.
Some of the nation’s favourites include Elf, Home Alone, Polar Express, The Grinch and A Christmas Carol. We bet you all have a family favourite!
Everyone loves a winter’s evening getting cosy in your pyjamas, pouring a hot drink and lounging on the sofa in front of a Christmas classic! This is definitely one thing we’ll miss until next December!
Christmas Morning
Christmas is a time when the most special of memories are created. Especially in families with younger children, there’s nothing like carrying out the rituals on Christmas Eve in preparation for the big guy arriving on his sleigh, then seeing kid’s eyes light up on the big day when Santa has visited!
Our children may be the source of a crazily early alarm clock on Christmas Day, but we don’t seem to mind, it’s our favourite day of the year after all! We all rush down the stairs to discover what has been left under the tree, Christmas is a time for giving, but we try and not get caught up with the act of gift giving, and remember the real reasons of Christmas! We love Christmas Day for many reasons but getting the whole family together and spending precious time in their company has to be our favourite!
Christmas Songs
Another thing that makes us feel all festive and jolly on the inside is hearing the well-known Christmas songs and carols we all love!
Hearing the first few notes of your favourite tune brings all those happy, seasonal feelings flooding in, instantly putting us in the Christmas spirit! Whether it’s Mariah Carey, Slade, Wham! Or The Pogues that does it for you, we’re sure you’ll agree with us that Christmas music is one of the big things we miss about the festive season.
