Let’s face it, the weather over the festive period is generally rather miserable and chilly. You either love the winter or hate it! If it’s just not for you, you might be looking now at planning a getaway this Christmas in search for some winter sun. Here are a handful of destinations to inspire you…

Morocco
This is a prefect holiday choice if you’re looking for a taste of exotic but without travelling too far. Great displays of markets and crafts make it an excellent choice for children too as there is so much to see and learn about their culture. Visit a coastal destination such as Agadir where the beaches go on for miles, or choose a city escape like Marrakech where you can really get a taste of the Moroccan culture, surrounded by belly dancers vibrant markets and snake charmers! There really is something in Morocco to suit everyone’s taste.

There are endless cultural lessons to be learned, restaurants to taste the unique local cuisine, nightlife including a Saturday night market where you can grab yourself a bargain, stunning stretches of beaches where water sports are popular, and so much more! On the other hand Goa may not be the best holiday destination to take children, particularly young families as the flight is quite long, so travelling may turn out to be a struggle.

Another perfect destination if you’re looking for some real heat this winter, although December is in their wet season so some rain should be expected. One of the most picturesque places to visit and you can rely on the wonderful relaxed Caribbean lifestyle, the air filled with reggae music, there are even reggae buses that transport you to your excursions!
