UK Christmas World Mince Pie Taste Test
Many of you will have already planned ahead with your Christmas food and will have already started to stock up on your festive treats. Mince pies are one of the most loved types of goodies, and here at UK Christmas World we love them just as much as the next person!
…We love them so much we thought we would pick our favourite! We took different varieties of mince pies from an assortment of supermarkets and put our taste buds to the test! Each member of staff here at UKCW tasted each mince pie, without knowing where it was from and rated it out of ten, and ranked each one overall in order of preference, we all had a lot of fun with this experiment as you could probably imagine!
The mince pies that we chose to test were:
- Mr Kiping Deep Filled Mince Pies
- Tesco Mince Pies
- Marks & Spencer’s Classic Recipe All Butter Mince Pies
- Co-operative Deep Filled Mince Pies
- Aldi Specially Selected Crumbly All Butter Mince Pies
(The tasters didn’t know which were which of course! Each plate was named anonymously as to not affect the decisions made)
Each taster was asked to leave a short comment about each mince pie as well, what they might have liked/disliked about each brand. Here are some of the comments staff members made, there is quite a mixed bag if opinions, but it might help you decide which brand of pies you might fancy yourself, before we announce the winner:
