Don't Panic (At least not yet...)
As retailers continue to grapple with a host of supply chain problems from driver shortages to shipping delays we take a look some of the reasons behind this and why here at UK Christmas World we are leading the way with innovative new lines and product availability as we enter the Christmas period.
From toys to turkeys, trees to tinsel consumers have also been warned of potential Christmas shortages and higher prices as supply chain difficulties spread throughout the UK. Along with post-Brexit trading rules being blamed for these problems, a shortage of heavy goods vehicle (HGV) drivers have been straining supply chains to breaking point - making it harder to get goods on to shelves. This along with the ongoing effects and consequences of the pandemic, changing international trade rules and the rising prevalence of climate concerns have all weighed on global shipping over the last 18 months to significantly raise freight rates from Asia with these costs ultimately passed on to the consumer.
